Our Decaf Sumatran is an Organic coffee that is decaffeinated by a water process, which eliminates the caffeine using water rather than other, less natural, alternatives. The beans are soaked in a green coffee extract, which consists of water saturated with desirable coffee oils. After 8-10 hours, the beans emerge 99.9% caffeine free, while still maintaining the oils essential to their flavors. We roast our Decaf Sumatran to a light medium, which brings out its creamy flavor with hints of earthiness and bittersweet chocolate. Water processing is certainly worth the effort and cost when it comes to taste, and we are sure that you will agree!
